Barfi is a fun movie. Although the lead character is deaf and dumb, there
is no overdose of sympathy for the character. It just does not matter who you
are, if you want to have fun in life, sure, you can seems to be the motto of
Barfi! Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are quite brilliant. The supporting cast is also good. The visuals are
wonderful, the music is good, the lyrics of the songs are brilliant. I watched
the movie, on the first day. Not a single minute of boredom. Very engaging.
I later read that there are comparisons to
Chaplinisms in some reviews, but it is a work of art at the end of the day. I wouldn’t
take away any credit from Ranbir for sure. A refreshing Bollywood movie and I
would love to watch it again!
